Requirements
- Pc/laptop
- Clear mind

Setting up
- Create a folder (ex. Android apk)
- Paste the zipped file on the folder
- Extract all inside the zip
- Extract one_click_signer.rar to the Android apk folder
- Extract apktool1.4.1.rar to the Android apk folder
- Rename apktool.jar.rar to apktool.jar
- Copy and paste apktool.jar to apktool1.4.1 folder
- Paste the apk (ex. plapybird.apk - as seen on the screen shot) you want to edit to apktool1.4.1 folder
- Open the Command Prompt.bat
- Type apktool.bat d plapybird.apk (this step is to disassemble the apk file)
- Then a folder will created containing the files inside the apk
- Now, you can modify anything inside AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING :)
- After all the modifications you apply inside the folder, let's rebuild the apk file
- Type apktool.bat b plapybird plapybird_mod.apk
Note:
The pattern would be apktool.bat (space) b (space) [Filename] (space) [ModdedFilename].apk
Filename - the name in the original apk
ModdedFilename - the new name for the modded apk
- Then, the new apk file will be created with the Modded Filename
Signing in your APK file
You cannot install an app without signing it on Google. It can result into parsing error. But, in this tutorial, we can signed an apk file without submitting it on Google.
First, copy and paste [ModdedFilename].apk to "one_click_signer" folder
Open the one_click_signer.bat
Type the file name of your modded apk (ex. plapybird_mod.apk - as seen on the screen shot)
There should be a new apk file in the folder. This apk file will be the sign apk and it is ready to be installed
Notes:
- Uninstall first the original apk installed on your phone (if it has)
- Make sure you have a backup copy of the original apk in case you want to install it
Command Prompt.bat says "Invalid or Corrupted Jar File" I can't disassemble my apk.

DeleteUse URET Android Reverser Toolkit by Jasi2169 (Thank you Jasi2169), can find it on XDA. But if it's a simple file replacement like unity games Assembly-CSharp.dll file;
Deleterename your apk extension to .zip for e.g: "mygame.apk" will become "mygame.zip" then extract using 7zip/winrar. Enter "mygame" folder > assets > bin > data > managed (the Assembly-CSharp.dll file is in this directory).
make your changes using .NET reflector/reflexil or ILSpy. Save the new Assembly-CSharp.dll file, ensure it has the same name and replace in the extracted apk directory. Archive "mygame" using 7zip/winrar and rename back to ".apk" from ".zip".
Open URET Android Reverser Toolkit, click browse on the middle section under Sign/Ziplign (should say Zipalign it's just a typo). Sign click sign, then when that's complete, click browse on the middle section again and select "Signed_-_"mygame".apk" and then click Zipalign. You can then install your apk and you're good to go :)

At the point 6 of setting up what the hell you mean with "rename apktool.jar.rar to apktool.jar " ? explain it clear, it's really useless that information since the rar archive display its name only apktool.jar and if you extract it's still the same name so what we should rename? I'll reupdate this one. I use XP in this tutorial.. now, the APKTool is updated into v2.0.x and most of the users uses Windows 7, 8 and 10.. Just wait for my tutorial probably tomorrow or next day..

DeleteNow go to this link https://bitbucket.org/iBotPeaches/apktool/downloads and download the first .jar file from the top.
now rename the .jar file you downloaded from apktool 1.2.1.jar to apktool.jar
copy the renamed file into the tool you downloaded from that first link above but before you paste, delete the one already existing in it.
And in order to mod apks use the other guy's method. hope this helps
